While you traverse the mountain roads of the Tongass National Forest, your guide provides you with interesting and informative commentary using a two-way radio. Our trip got canceled and we were disappointed that we were not notified ahead of time. We tried to call the local number but no one answered. We were really pleased with Viators response with a refund offer.

We loves this excursion, we got to drive the jeep and see so much in mountains of Ketchikan, from the rain forest to the glacier made lake and old logging areas. Lunch was just a light snack but the trip itself was amazing and we will do it again when we return to Alaska.

Team and guides were lots of fun and knowledgeable about area and forests. Anyone who likes driving off road will like this tour up old logging roads to scenic areas. Not for anyone who does not like a bumpy ride, but we loved it. You also travel to a beautiful, remote lake and paddle across to a rain forest camp. The food was great and a short guided hike in the woods is included. Again the guides were very knowledgeable and made this trip so much fun.

I spent the whole summer traveling all around Alaska and this was definitely my favorite experience! You get to drive a Jeep in the backcountry then canoe across a lake to a delicious snack and walk in the rainforest. So worth it!

Cole was an amazing tour guide. he was very knowledgeable and made our time here in ketchikan one to remember. I'd definitely recommend anyone who stops by to go out on these jeeps and explore the forest.

We went in a jeep to two shortage viewing points needing to go into 4x4 for rough terrain- not ideal if you have a hangover or brittle bones. You can share the driving experience as there are opportunities to change drivers (driving licences must be taken along). The convoy are kept in touch by walkie talkies. The canoe is taken a fairly short distance over a stunning lake where a nice camp fire snack was provided. We also had a short walk in a forested area. The guides are very good.

My family of 11, ranging from my active 80 year old grandmother to 2 under 10 year old kids, went on the excursion and had an absolute blast. Although it was a little bumpy in the back seats of the jeeps it was definitely bearable, just make sure you go to the bathroom before hand. All of the drivers in my family said that driving was super exciting and they love the experience. It was definitely a unique way to experience Ketchikan. On the day we went it was raining, and the tour provided rain coats which were extremely helpful. Don't be discouraged if it rains the day of your tour, my family actually though it was more fun because the puddles were fun to drive through because they splashed everywhere. The lunch on this excursion was so perfect, the chowder, salmon dip, and hot drinks were exactly what we needed after a chilly canoe ride. Overall, I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone.

Loved this tour! Tess was our Australian Jeep tour guide. She made sure we had a blast. You really get to enjoy premium off-road experience. The glacial lake was just awesome and they fed us the best lunch! Clam chowder was some of the best I’ve had. Enjoyed the nature walk too. Can’t recommend this tour enough! It was amazing. You have to go!!

Jeeps were in good condition and we really appreciated letting my husband and I have our own jeep as it we were not able to get into the back seat very easily. We did not see any bear during the nature walk but our guide was informative. We learned about native wildlife and plants during our nature walk and the canoe ride was fun! We had a little canoe race on the way back from the nature walk and the Nebraska canoe was victorious! GO BIG RED!!!

Great tour for cruise ship passengers or other travelers with limited time in Ketchikan. The jeeps are a blast on the old logging roads, and are clean (inside) and well maintained. The canoe trip, nature walk and Alaskan snack are great as well. Our guide, Sam, is the best guide of the company; knowledgeable, fun, and professional. Get out of the downtown and experience the reason people love Alaska. Thanks again Sam!
