  We love Monument Valley and love Toney! He was the perfect guide to share his heritage with us! He brought the right balance between humor and the sacredness of this beautiful valley! His knowledge of the area and the people who live there was very informative! This tour was the highlight of our two week road trip!

  We did the tour late January of tis year with Toney and it was absolutely worth it. The skies were clear and the temperature perfect for a thick sweater. Driving through MC alone is an impressive experience, but guided (especially with Toney who knows everything about the valley, is extremely friendly, funny and knows all the best spots to take the best photos), it’s a completely different experience on another level, also because you tour the restricted backcountry roads that have several wonderful spots to offer that are otherwise not accessible. The 3.5 hours (it really takes that long, almost on the minute) flew by very fast and it was an experience I am incredibly happy I had the opportunity to have.

  Awesome, fun and breathtaking! Toney was an amazing guide (you can request him!). Knowledgeable, kind and friendly. He has a knack w photography and we left with some amazing pictures. Highly recommend!!!

  Our tour was at sunset and we were lucky to be the only ones. The weather was cool, but the van was heated and very comfortable. Our guide, Toney was very natural and tuned in perfectly with us. He was generous with his time and we never felt rushed! The time we spent together at all of the hidden away places was very precious. It would never have been the same if we had driven alone on a restricted self guided tour. We will have this wonderful experience always in our memories, to go back to when we want to. Thank you Toney!

  My husband and I booked a 3 1/2 tour with Monument Valley Safari over a month in advance. As we drove around, we were amazed by the buttes, mesas and spires of the Monument Valley. However, we were not prepared for the richness of knowledge, wide experience and willingness to share information on the Navajo culture, guidance and support that our guide, Toney imparted. We were overwhelmed by his knowledge of the intricacies of the culture, geography and history. He brought the Monument Valley to life and enabled us to see it in a whole different light. Toney has many skills including photography that further enriched the tour. We definitely recommend the Monument Valley Safari for a well informed and priceless visit to the Monument Valley.

  It was the most incredible experience ever! Our guide was Jean. Can’t say enough about her. We learned so much from her. Truly an awesome human being. We felt like we traveling with a friend and not a guide. Love u Jean!!

  Wasnt sure what to expect from the area and saw some of the mesas, buttes and spires from the viewing area at The View Hotel, but was pleasantly surprised when we began our tour with Toney. Although there is a self-guided option, Toney added so much more to this tour than we would have been able to accomplish on our own. Not only do you get to tour areas of the Valley not accessible on the self-guided tour, Toney assisted on the best places to take pictures at each of the features, took pictures of us that we would not have considered taking and provided so much knowledge of the area, the popular culture that has occurred within the Valley and the most importantly culture. We could have have asked for a better experience and if you are lucky enough to have Toney as your guide, you will leave the tour more knowledgeable and with so many awesome photos of the Monument Valley! We were in an enclosed Tahoe that was well maintained and was able to trek the Valley with ease and comfort. Highly recommend this tour (ours was a sunset tour) and thank you Toney for a wonderful, memorable experience.

  We can highly recommend doing a tour with Monument Valley Safari! They were able to accommodate us on short notice (we booked a tour the evening before) and the tour was really amazing! We've got to see so many stunning places within Monument Valley (on the loop and additional ones you cannot get to without a tour), learned a lot about the area and the Navajo Natio, and had a great time with our tour guide, Donna! Thank you!

  Well worth it to see parts of Monument Valley that are restricted to the general public! Our tour guide, Toney, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and Navajo history in general. He knew all the best photo spots and angles, and was more than willing to share! He took us to some amazing arches and showed us ruins and petroglyphs as well. We really appreciated having an authentic Navajo guide who could share their history alongside the history of the land. Would recommend to anyone who wants a genuine experience off of the beaten path!

  We had a 3.5 tour on January 3. It was a beautiful day and an excellent tour. Don was a fantastic tour guide sharing knowledge with us that you can only learn from someone who has been there for generations. He took us to areas that you cannot access normally by car and showed us incredible sights with intriguing explanations. This is definitely worth it and would recommend to anyone!
