FRIDAY & SATURDAY ONLY. 9:30-1:30 Reservation required.

The Killer Bees Honey apiary tour & honey tasting will introduce you to the elemental intensity of a hive, its queen and her subjects. Included is an upfront and personal bee meet & greet, an opportunity to pour your own bottle of honey and culminating with a taste of the delicious fruits of their labor. Watch the bees as they tend their hives and forage for nectar. Learn what they are doing and why they do it! Each tour is limited to 12 people, allowing for a greater personal experience.

Located deep in the Pisgah National Forest of Western North Carolina, the Killer Bees Honey apiary is nestled high on top of Walnut Cove Mountain. Surrounded by 512,000 farm-free acres of soul-cleansing views, our lady aviators gather nectar from a variety of floral sources. The result is some of the most exquisite honey untouched by pesticides, fungicides and herbicides.

TOUR INCLUDES:
â€¢ Brief discussion on the life of a honeybee, their caste system, division of labor and hive equipment.
â€¢ Journey into the exuberant world of a bee colony with the beekeeper as he inspects a hive. Protective suits, veils and gloves will be provided.
â€¢ Visit the honey processing center and pour your own 4 oz decorative bottle of Killer Bees Honey.
â€¢ Honey tasting fresh from our hives along with discussion and honey sampling. Learn how different honeyâ€™s look, smell and taste.
â€¢ Honey pairing with different foods.
â€¢ Select alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

A unique way to spend the day. We had a fabulous time meeting Sean and Denise, hearing their story and learning more about bees and honey thru their passion for the pure and tasty honey they produce. Educational, delightful, and personal journey into the business of bees and honey production. The tasting and pairing experience of the different honeys and why they taste different is outstanding. What a morning!!! Highly recommend. AND the honey is delicious.

Sean and Denise have the welcome mat out and carefully open the door so the cats won't get out. If you appreciate conservation, you will love your experience. The Killer Bee couple explain fully how bees and their hives are the center of our existence. Without the pollinators, we would not exist. It was an entertaining and informative day from the discussions, to the hands on experience with the hives, to the pairing of food and honey. This half day is a MUST on any bucket list!!

$110 sounds like a lot of money, but the tour is worth it. Sean and Denise graciously welcome you into their home and their love and knowledge of bees. The food pairings are wonderful. Overall, it’s an amazing experience.

We are still talking about our experience at Killer Bees. The home, the couple, the shuttle up to the property, the views, the food, and of course the bees all added up to make an interesting way to learn so much!

We had a wonderful experience learning everything about bees from professional beekeeper, Sean. He is incredibly knowledgeable and a great teacher and guide. Our day included group education about bees, including a video, complete info about how honey is created and harvested, tours of various hives with hands on opportunities, searching for the queen in each hive, and tasting various honeys with food created and a lovely table by Denise. They are a great team and provide a terrific adventure for all.

A fascinating and interactive lesson in the entire process of bee keeping and honey production, including the ecological benefits. You won't find more gracious, experienced and captivating people than Sean and Denise.

My family and friends came to Killer Bees Farm for my Bachelorette Party Weekend! We had such a wonderful time learning about the bees and taste testing some delicious honey... and that view was breathtaking! The staff made our experience even more memorable by lavishing us with a Bachelorette Congratulations Cake which was incredibly thoughtful and not even asked for when my sister booked the experience. They went above and beyond! We highly recommend this experience and hope to return some day!

This is one of the most unique and interesting things ever. It is an amazingly immersive experience. We learned about bees. We saw bee hives. We touched bee hives. We tasted different kinds of some of the purest honey produced in the world paired with great bites. The beekeepers are highly knowledgeable, entertaining and incredibly hospitable

Experienced the Killer Bee Tour and honey sampling. What a great time. We learned so much about bees, the process of making honey, tasting the various samples with different pairings. We were able to suit up.in the beekeeper outfits and truly experience the hives! Highly recommend for families and outings.
